I don't have any milestones or health issues that I have overcome that would potentially help win a pair of sexy pumps. I don't even have a pair of Steve Madden pumps to gush or elaborate about. I do however have an appreciation for Valentines Day and the potential for people to take a minute to enjoy, celebrate and indulge in their love for one another.

At 4'8'', heels are more practical than flats in my life. Not many can claim that, but the three to four inches of shoe make a world of difference. My small stature also means that my feet are incredibly small (a 5!) and it is so difficult to find cute heels that fit. So far, the only place I can go is Payless and even they have reduced the size 5 supply (at least in my town). The Steve Madden pumps would be the perfect boost to my confidence as I try to go out in the world. Imagine going into an interview with those beauties on your feet! They would also be perfect for a night out (or in) for Valentine's Day.

I would love to hit the city with my husband wearing those fabulous heels on St. Valentines! I would definitely opt for the violet pair. It will be our first night "out" since our new baby Violette was born, and honestly our first night out in a really long time even before that. We also have an 11 year old daughter, so I have been a mommy for a while and am starting to feel it a bit. Those heels just might inspire a more routine date night. Next Monday I will be 19 months post op from brain tumor surgery. This surgery paralyzed my right leg from hip down for a long period of time. I had to learn to walk again and I have not been able to wear any of my "fashion" shoes during these 19 months. I have some feeling and additional mobility coming back to my leg now and need a great pair of shoes to celebrate my return to being able to wear something besides lace-ups. I want to feel feminine again instead of like a purely functional robot. God has truly blessed me though this entire recovery period and I give Him the thanks.Thanks for your consideration.

The past two years have not been good for us. August 2007 my nephew passed away. September 2007 hubs and I relocate to Houston for his job - 6 days later are hit by hurricane Ike. Tree falls through our house, taking roof, ceiling, first floor, air conditioning unit and water heater with it. Clothes, shoes (had several pair of Steve Maddens) and wedding/family photos are under water and debris for two days while it rained nonstop. Not able to save anything. No power for 11 days, crackers, water and cold baths. Renters insurance pays a portion of the total damage. Landlord didn't have insurance so 10 days later we have to move again because he can’t pay to get the tree off the house. November my aunt passes away, Dec 1 father in law passes away, December 6th, the company my husband works for let’s everyone go and closes. For 6 months we use our insurance money to pay bills and child support until he finally lands another job. We are still trying to replace everything we lost. I’m still without all my cute shoes and clothes I once had. To win these shoes would mean a change in luck and add a great deal of style to our first real date since 2007!

my husband is in the army and he will be gone on his first deployment by the time Valentine's day rolls around. we've been married a year as of December 27th, 2009 and are yet to spend a Valentine's day together as a married couple and i don't know if we will next year either, depending on how long his deployment is. last year i was living back in our hometown while he was finishing up some training in Missouri (fort Leonardwood), so we didn't have any plans and just exchanged gifts when we saw each other. Since my fiance goes to USMA at West Point, I don't get to see him very often. However, on Valentines Day, they have a rare 3 day weekend where they are allowed to leave campus!
