GIVEAWAY: Baby Gear Galore! PDF Print E-mail

Any new parent can tell you a baby requires A LOT of stuff... and paying for all of it can really add up! So, Galtime.com has partnered with Bottles to Britches Premier Baby Planners to give away a basket of things we think you'll find handy as you welcome your little one!  The bundle is worth a bundle-- more than $300!  Many of these products will also be part of our World's Largest Online Baby Shower on Twitter on March 31st,  co-sponsored by The Oprah Store, so make sure you RSVP for that event, too! Click for details on that.

Here's what we're giving away to one lucky winner. See details below on how to enter. GOOD LUCK and tell your friends!!!

noodleboo

NOODLE & BOO CRèME DOUCE is a pure and simple line of luxury products for children. It includes gentle, natural formulas that meet the unique needs of babies' and children's skin.  From the Extra Gentle Shampoo for sensitive scalps and delicate hair to the Soothing Body Wash for mild, moisturizing bath care, these products gently cleanse without stripping natural moisture.  They’re ideal for everyday use without irritation, even on newborns and babies with sensitive skin.

appliedlabelsbot

You know you need to put labels on all your baby’s things if you’re taking him/her to daycare. (You don’t want another baby swapping germs with your precious perfect one!) In many cases, you have to date the items, too. It's Applied Labels to the rescue with simple and effective labels.  They’re dishwasher safe and removable. We’re giving our prize winner a $50 e-gift certificate to pick customized styles and prints.
ellaflor

It’s just going to be a matter of time before the stench of smelly diapers takes over the nursery, and maybe even the whole house! Ella Flora gets rid of the smell, replacing it with a much more pleasant aroma.  These personalized essences are water based and are not overpowering.  The company says some formulas even help some expecting moms cope with nausea or combat colic in babies.  The flower essences claim to alleviate stress and provide emotional and energetic balancing.

mommymitten2

Check out this new product.  The Mommy Mitten(tm) is a hand warmer that easily secures around the handle bar of a baby stroller to keep hands protected from the elements without having to deal with clumsy, easy to lose gloves or mittens. As any parent knows, taking a child out in the winter months or any inclement weather can be torturous. What a very cool—or should we say 'hot'-- accessory for less than ideal outside temps.

Baby_Dipper_125x125

The Baby Dipper bowl allows parents to feed a baby using only one hand and also helps toddlers learn to feed themselves. The triangular shape, slanted interior, non-slip base, and transparent sides work together to aid in the collection of the food with only one hand, leaving the other hand free to tend to other tasks. That makes mealtime more fun and clean for all!

laughandlearndvd

Any new parent can tell you parenthood involves a lot of laughing and learning, and Sheri Bayles captures a bunch of it in her Laugh and Learn series about childbirth. Titles include Laugh and Learn about Newborn and Baby Care and Laugh and Learn about Breastfeeding.  She has a book and DVD series, which we’re giving to one lucky winner!  It's fun information to help new parents along a life altering journey!

picpocket

Want your child to have a huge vocabulary, improve concentration and expand horizons?  Read them a book.  Only have your phone with you?  Try PicPocket Books.  They offer picture books for kids as downloadable iPhone/ iPod touch apps from iTunes. Children ages 2-8 can enjoy their favorite stories on the go—at the doctor’s office, at the store, on the airplane; any situation where it's impractical to bring physical books along. PicPocket Books include professionally produced audio narrations and interactive visual text.   Kind of a nice alternative to the TV programs and video games they might otherwise play, right?
discovery975
Newborn babies are a handful, period. Bluetooth headsets can keep busy parents connected without having to hold a baby and a phone.   The Discovery 975 ($129) Bluetooth headset was designed to be simple. It allows you to stay connected on the go without sticking an
obtrusive gadget to your face.  It comes with a charging case that actually triples talk-time to give the Discovery over 15 hours. The Discovery 975 is available at Best Buy, Verizon stores, Apple stores, AT&T, but you can win one here!

To enter, leave a comment below about what surprised you most about your pregnancy so far or while you were pregnant. One entry per person. Then sign up for our newsletter on GALTime.com and on BottlestoBritches.com. Come back here and let us know you signed up AND YOU'LL GET AN EXTRA ENTRY FOR EACH NEWSLETTER.

Contest ends midnight EST on April 1st.  The winner will be drawn at random.  Good luck!

pregnancy
written by fancygrlnancy, March 11, 2010
I think what surprised me the most was how tiared I was. I know everyone says you get tired, but in the first months I was soooo tired I slept anywhere and everywhere. Also I did not have morning sickness, not even once. I was happy but surprised.

I was never pregnant... I adopted. What surprised me most, though, was how perfectly beautiful my daughter was at birth. I mean, I've seen plenty of pictures of newborns... they can look kind of funky... but she was PERFECT!

My daughter is expecting her first and my first grandchild. I'm enjoying all the joys of sharing the sonograms with her. When my kids were born, sonograms were NOT the norm. Already signed up for BOTH newsletters!
